and so it goes…

October 8, 2008

lifes been awesome!  been leading worship every day.  this is my first day off in 7 days.  i love it!  I got to lead with some buds i hadnt seen in a while and that was great.  We def had a great time.

I got to see my parents, charlie-murphy, and my grand parents this weekend and that was excellent.  I hadnt seen them in a long time.  On a crazier note, I woke up at 11:30 on Saturday to the sound of sirens, police cars, an ambulance, a fire truck, and my grandma screaming in pain.  She fell down the stairs and they had to take her to Grady in a helicopter.  It was nuts!  Praise the Lord that she is totally fine, they thought she had broke her neck but really she just got bruised up pretty bad.

We are going on the road this weekend and I am excited!  I’ve missed it a lot.  I cant wait to see what God has in store for us and the kids this weekend.

I’ve been listening to Billy Joel, and so it goes is one of the best songs ever!

Me and my dad are going to the game tomorrow and im stoked!
Can’t wait to see Charlie-Murphy tomorrow, I’ve been praying  for my lil’ guy.

Murphy Update

April 10, 2008

Great news!  Murphy didn’t have to have surgery today.  As of now it’s kind of a hurry up and wait process.  He has three weeks of no running, no jumping, and no stair climbing.  If you know my dog, this is gona be a challenge for him.  After that three weeks if he is not back to 100% they will resort to back surgery.  I am really praying that this wont have to happen for a few reasons.  First and foremost, it’s a risky surgery.  Secondly its $2,000 operation and with my parents owning 2 houses right now that’d be real tough for them to pull of.  I know that we would pull it off but that would be a struggle for sure.

Kurtis and I are going on the road this weekend.  We will be in Norcross for the next 2 days leading worship for some singles weekend for Mount Bethel.  We are pretty excited about it, it should be a lot of fun.  I am real stressed about the amount of work I have to get done in these last few weeks of school.  This weekend is gona be filled with a lot of guitar playing, and paper writing when we aren’t rocking out.

Pray for our band!  We are going through a weird time right now and could really use some good ole’ fashion prayer.  We just haven’t been excited about making rock music anymore because we are all doing our own thing.  We are trying to figure out where our steam went.  I’m sure this new record coming out is gona change things, but we’d love some extra prayer support!

Charlie Murphy

April 9, 2008

My lil’ guy hurt his back. He is having surgery tomorrow. The worst part about it is he’s in Charleston. Poor guy… I know it sounds crazy but dude means a lot to me. He’s like my lil’ bro. If you’ve never met him, you’re missing out. I hope he pulls through, my life would not be as cool without him.

love ya murphy
